Shaena Stabler & Star Anna will perform a very special show together at Clatsop Community College's Performing Arts Center in Astoria, Oregon on September 25th. The show starts at 7 p.m. - and is open to all ages!
Star Anna is a Seattle-based artist whose music blends the rootsy sound of country with the edgy emotional honesty of rock & roll. Duff McKagan (Guns 'N Roses) wrote of her singing, "She is the real deal. There is a pain in her voice that comes from somewhere deep, a place I dare not ask where it comes from." Nicole Brodeur of the Seattle Times described her as having "a voice full of bluster that will slam the door behind you, then find itself alone to take in the loneliness, the quiet, the beauty."
Clatsop County native Shaena Stabler will be making her return "home" and performing the show as her Official CD Release Show with her full band, all Los Angeles based musicians. She is just finishing up her debut record with Grammy-winning producer Ken Caillat (Fleetwood Mac, Colbie Caillat) - and will have copies of this along with other merchandise on hand for the show. Her major influences include Tori Amos, Stevie Nicks, Lana Del Rey, Joni Mitchell, and "even a hint of Nirvana".
Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door for General Seating - and $25 in advance for VIP Seating & Access to Soundcheck (also includes complimentary copy of Shaena Stabler's CD).
